If you can shoot your food by a window then you will get a more natural looking result. If you can shoot your food during the day time it makes life a lot easier! If not a video light works well – try bouncing it off of a white wall or napkin to soften the light.
A blog by David Griffen Photography.
David Griffen loves food almost as much as he loves photography.
This blog is an excursion into shooting food with a camera phone, trying to get the tastiest results using the same techniques David practices when shooting Michelin starred chefs. This blog is by no means a definitive guide to food photography, but David hopes it will give you some new ideas and lift the level of food photography in food blogs.
